OLW 40 - 2 images, no sentiments,bling or embellishments

This really was a challenge for me. I wanted to add more but I restrained myself. My little grandson will love this card. The green is only  background paper and not on the card. The train is by Riley Moose Stamps. The tree is a favorite of mine from Stampin'Up. Colored with copics. I am just learning how to use these wonderful markers. Now that is a real challenge.

OLW 39 - Image, Border and Bling

This is my first attempt at the Simplicity challenge. I have been encouraged by my friend Carol. This is not as easy as it looks. Making one layer cards are not as easy as I thought. However it is really making me think and try to become creative. Since I am visiting Carol in Florida I do not have any supplies so had to go shopping. Of course that was not a hardship. Carol did let me use some of hers. I live in Colorado. So here is what I came up with. I hope you like it.
I borrowed some yellow card stock from Carol's stash. I used a border stamp I purchased by Fiskars. The butterfly is from PTI and the flight swirl is a $1 stamp.... both from Carol's collection. Added a few rhine stones to the flowers. Also colored the larger flowers with markers.

 I am really pleased with my first attempt. Thank you for looking.

Romantic Hearts

Another Valentine card. I thought this looked romantic with the dark colors and ribbon. All card stock is from Stampin'Up. The background stamp is Hero Arts. The hearts are Stampendous and are cut out with Nestabilities Die. I also used Crystal Effects on the hearts which were colored with a pencil. A little glitter was added to the swirls above the hearts but it is hard to see in the scan. The ribbon was from Hobby Lobby. The border punch is from Stampin'Up.Thanks for looking

Bouquet of Hearts

Valentine's Day will soon be here so I am trying to get start on my cards. This little Stick Chick is by American Art Stamps. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and the paper is Stampin'Up. The background stamp is Hero Arts and the I used a Nestability die for the shape. The border punch is from Stampin' Up. Ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is Hero Arts. Thanks for looking.

Little Chef

This is a birthday card for a dear friend. Note that she would rather have cheese and wine than cake.  I used the paper piecing technique which I hadn't used before. I was pleased with how it turned out. All supplies are Stampin'Up. Thanks for taking a peek.

Little Boy birthday card

This card is for my great nephew's 1st Birthday. When did I get so old?  The image is a favorite of mine and is by Penny Black. Colored with copics. Paper by Stampin'Up I also used nesties and embossing folder. Thanks for looking.

Your My Cup Of Tea

I am starting off the new year with a simple card. If you know me you know that I am an avid tea drinker. The card stock and image are Stampin'Up. The words are My Sentiments Exactly. Ribbon from Hobby Lobby. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder - dotted swiss.  Thanks for looking
