OLW - 58 - Oh What Fun

This week's One-Layer Wednesday is to use yellow, orange and aqua.. http://simplicitybylateblossom.blogspot.com/
This was a fun card to make.. This week again I dug out an older stamp. I must have been into children when I bought them . I guess it was when my grandchildren were smaller. Anyway I still like them. The image is by Stampin'Up and the sentiment is by Stamp your Art

I think my photograghy is a little better this week also. Thank you Susan http://susangoetter.blogspot.com/ I read your tutorial and I think it helped. You never know next week may be even better.
Thank you for taking a peek.

OLW #57

This week's challege http://stylesink.ca/  is to make a card with a summer/beach/ocean theme. I have chosen this stamp from Inkadinkado and colored it with copics. The sentiment is by Amuse. I have to confess I have had this stamp for about 10 yrs and have never used it. So I welcomed the chance to put some ink on it. That is what challenges are all about. Right?
I must admit I haven't quite got the hang of taking pictures yet. Either they are too light or too dark or crooked like this one. I hope I get better with practice.

Sympathy

I am playing catch up today in my Happy Room. Unfortunately I have to start off by making sympathy cards. Here are a couple I made The first one uses Gina K stamps and Stampin up card stock and markers.  The second uses a Stampin'Up image and markers. Sentiment on both is GinaK. I used the frame idea for the first time and must say I really like it and will use it again.

I also made a birthday card with a new Stampin'Up set I just received. This is my favorite set at least for today. I like how it turned out. Now back to make some more cards.

Hope you are having a great Memorial Day Weekend. Thanks for looking

OLW #55 Cats and Dogs

I have been gone for a while on a lovely vacation and now I am back. So am anxious to do some challenges. This week's OLW challenge, hosted by Jennifer, is to make a one-layer card with a cat or dog. For those of you who may know me I am not a dog or cat person. I am more of a baby person having had 55 foster babies through our home. Anyway I have 3 doggy stamps so thought I would sieze this opportunity to use one of them. Hope you like it.. The stamp is Penny Black, sentiment is Wordsworth. It is colored with watercolour pencils and the background is a cuttlebug folder.

Thanks for looking.

UP UP and Away

I am back. I have been on a long vacation. Actually a wonderful cruise. Then came home and had visitors. So I am ready to get back to stamping. Here is a card I made for a class. I hope you like it .
Card stock is Stampin'Up and the stamp (yes it is one stamp) is from Artworks by Judy Duke. Colored with copics. I used a little glitter too but it doesn't show up.

OLW -48 - Sympathy card.

This weeks OLW card challenge  (Simplicity)  is to make a sympathy card without using flowers or trees. Now that is a challenge because to me flowers and trees mean peace and beauty. Well I made a card. I am not sure I really like it. I am leaving on a long trip on Monday and don't have much time to play. However since I won't be stamping for the next 3 weeks ( I will be in withdrawal ) I did want to participate this week. I have enjoyed looking at all the other creations. You are a talented group of women. The background stamp and paper is Stampin'Up. The sentiment is by Gina K. Colored with Copics.

Bleaching Flowers

I had a class this week and we were playing with bleach. It is an easy technique which I often forget about. Anyway my customers really liked it. This card was made with a Magenta stamp  Another stamp that I had to have and it got 'lost' in my supply.  I really like it and hope you do too. The card stock is Stampin'Up and the embossing folder is Quikcutz. The border is EK Success.
